This site is dedicated to promoting Fischer random chess, also known as Chess960, a variant of chess invented by the former world chess champion Bobby Fischer.

Compared to standard chess, Fischer random is more dynamic and creative, as players have to rely less on memorised openings and more on their own skills, understanding and intuition.
